Zombie Walk 5 was on Saturday October 26,2013. The festival started off at 2 p.m. but the walk was scheduled to begin at 6P.M. It all started off at Heritage and Science Park located at 7th Street and Monroe in Phoenix. It was said that Phoenix's creatures of the night is one of the largest zombie walks in the United States. They figured over 10,000 zombies would walk the streets of Downtown. If you arrived early and donated cans of food for the food shelters professional artists would turn you into the walking dead with their skill of makeup. I am not sure who was done professionally at times because the art work done on the creatures of the festival was fantastic. The festival was free to the public.
Here is a collection of Zombies that I came across on the streets. All were great folks and everyone was into the festival mood. Live music brought the Zombies alive. Even the Vendors were dressed for the part. Everyone that I talked with were great people. We had Mother, daughter and granddaughter teams. Whole families got into the act, fathers and daughters & son's. Anyways I hope you enjoy the photographs.
