Astronauts
I was honored to meet these genuine American Heroes and to spend some time with them and listen to their story's. They risked their lives not for glory , but for the challenge, and their county's pride. As I spoke with each one I noticed how approachable, mentally sharp and friendly they all were. They were willing to answer your thoughtful questions and shake your hand. Most were by themselves and others had assistants. My photos with the astronauts were all taken by their assistants. They all had signs stating their fees from $95 to $400. My time with these men I saw none charging for a photo taken with them. These photos were taken during the Spacefest IV Convention in Tucson, Arizona on June 01.2012.

Fred Haise was Lunar Module Pilot aboard the ill-fated, but heroic Apollo 13. LMP Haise was considered an expert on LM systems. Good thing, because Apollo 13s LM "Aquarius" was used as a lifeboat while a frozen, cold dark command module was attached to it. The crew returned alive, thanks to brilliant ground personnel, and the good ship Aquarius, which was never designed to do what it did.
Haise was also a commander in the space shuttle approach and landing tests using shuttle Enterprise dropped from high altitude to test airworthiness, pilot skills, glide and landing characteristics and the ship's avionics.
